Our two bedrooms, one bathroom Steinhatchee riverfront cabin is located in Steinhatchee, Florida, minutes from the Gulf of Mexico, a location famous for scalloping and fishing.
The scenic Steinhatchee River is great for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and family enjoyment. Some fishing boats have navigated the River, careful to avoid the submerged rocks. Or the Gulf of Mexico is within minutes---fishing, scalloping, snorkelling, etc.
With scallop season upon us, come and enjoy!
About the Cabin
Our rustic style cabin is set on a beautifully treed lot with the River its main attraction. Built on stilts right on the riverbank, the balcony overlooks the peaceful Steinhatchee River.
The hundreds of acres across the River is a natural federal reserve forest, so enjoy peace and quiet! Our large double lot is located on a dead-end road, so no loud traffic going by!
The cabin has two bedrooms with double beds. Living room has built-in single bunk beds, as well as a built-in couch which doubles as a single bed. One bathroom upstairs, as well as an bathroom downstairs in the utility room.
A special feature of the cabin is the fact it has two fireplaces--one upstairs in the living area, and on downstairs in the open concrete area under the cabin, for nice outdoor events such as grilling hotdogs and marshmellows over the fire, or sitting and enjoying a fire while watching the river!
The cabin is fully furnished, with all kitchen equipment & utensils, linens & bedding. Sleeps up to seven people.
Cabin is located at: 1910 River Road, Steinhatchee, FL (Just 5 miles off SR 19/27 on Highway 51). Located on the upper section of the River, just a few miles from the Gulf.
